Our work on Wricklemarsh Road
Our client, the homeowner of Wricklemarsh Road, wanted to provide her daughter with a more spacious and comfortable living area. To achieve this, we undertook the removal of the existing Velux loft conversion and replaced it with a new hip to gable conversion. The goal was to create a luxurious master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.
Our team built a hip to gable loft conversion with a brickwork gable end, providing significantly more space compared to the original setup. We installed a new bathroom suite that included a shower, bath, and tiling to give the ensuite a modern, sophisticated look. New stairs were added for easy access, and bespoke wardrobes were designed with automatic lighting for convenience. Additionally, we maximised storage by creating two new eaves storage areas, optimising the use of space throughout the loft. The project was completed with full decoration to give the space a fresh, polished finish.
Challenges and how we overcame them
One of the main challenges we faced during this project was the removal of the old steels from the previous loft conversion. These required specialised handling due to their size and weight. To safely and efficiently complete this task, we used a specialist crane to remove the old structures without causing any damage to the property.
Another challenge was meeting the client’s request to maximise storage space throughout the loft. We successfully integrated two additional eaves storage areas at the rear of the property, ensuring no space was wasted. Through careful planning and the use of specialised equipment, we overcame these challenges and delivered a spacious, well-designed loft conversion that met our client’s requirements.
